Hannah was helping dad work. Doesn't she look like a good helper?

first time in her crib

We have had Hannah in our room in the pack-n-play. We decided that since everyone has gone home and it is just the three of us that we would see how she sleeps in her crib. She is a good baby, so I am sure she will do fine. The picture is just a practice time in the crib. I still like to hold her while she naps during the day. Tonight we will put her in the crib to sleep.

so small

Hannah loves to curl up like this when I hold her. Isn't she the cutest?

Bouncy Seat

We decided to try out the bouncy seat today. She is too small for everything. She did not seem to care much about it. I am sure as she gets older she will enjoy it more. I think it will be my saving grace when I have to shower and I'm alone with her.

Swinging

Meme and Pop-pop brought Hannah a swing with they came to visit. I think she is too small to turn it on. I put her in it and gave it a little push. She looks pretty comfy.

peaceful

Derrick captured a very quiet, peaceful moment. I love to hold her all the time.

Home Sweet Home

We came home form the hospital on Tuesday, March 7. We had to wait at the hospital a full 48 hours since she was a preemie. It was good to get home. We were excited, scared, nervous, tired, excited, and mostly unsure about what being parents would be like. The first night started out okay. At 2am she woke up to eat. At 5 am she was still crying. My mom was here and thank goodness for that. She stayed away as long as she could. I think she knew I did not know what else to do so she came in at 5am and got Hannah. As soon as she got her she quit crying and went to sleep. I cried because I could not make her quit crying. Mama told me to get some sleep and she would wake me up when Hannah needed to eat. We were all much happy and felt better after a few hours of good sleep. I am glad my mom was here to help me.

Say your prayers

I was holding Hannah and when I looked down she had her little hands folded. I called nana to see her. We decided she was saying her prayers. Good thing nana is quick and good with the camera.

Tired

Derrick went back to work the day after we came home from the hospital. Nana and Papa were here to help with Hannah. When he came home tonight he said I just want to sleep. He laid down on the bed and went to sleep very quickly. Hannah as tired too I guess. Don't they look sweet.

bird legs

Everything is too big on her. Even the preemie clothes are big. Will these socks ever fit?

Real Clothes

I was very glad to put some clothes on Hannah. Two of the ladies I work with gave me this outfit. When I opened it at my shower, I thought, "She will be way to big to wear this." I was wrong. She is just so tiny.

First Family Photo

I was not really looking my best for our first photo, but I am glad mama took it for us. I just wanted something to drink and a nap. It was good to finally get to hold her.

She is here

Hannah Lynn Hood was born today at 4:06 pm. She weight 5lb. 9 oz and was 19.5 inches long. We are so happy to finally meet her. She is beautiful and we are so proud, excited, and scared all at the same time.
