more pictures from the pumpkin patch

Pumpkin Patch

While Papa and Nana were here visiting for the weekend we went to the pumpkin patch. Hannah enjoyed swinging on the tire swing, playing in the corn and wheat, feeding the goat, and the small corn maze. She picked out her own pumpkin. She really wanted to just take all of them out and put them back. Derrick was able to get a couple of cute fall pictures as well. She had so much fun that as soon as we got in the car she went to sleep. I think she had a great time. We will get a pumpkin to carve later in the month.

breakfast

Before going to the pumpkin patch we went to Cracker Barrel to eat breakfast. While we were waiting for a table Hannah decided to empty the cars out of the basket. It kept her happy and she picked up when I asked her to. While we were waiting on food Derrick started playing with her by sucking a Cheerio up on the end of the straw and giving it to her to eat. The things we will do to keep her happy.

bedtime

I am amazed and glad that Hannah goes to bed so easy. We do have times that it is not this smooth. Most nights this is how bedtime goes. Derrick or I give her a bath, dress her for bed, give her a treatment, brush her teeth, and then tell her it is night-night time. She will get her blankets and walk to her room. She gives both of us hugs and kisses. Then leans to get in the bed. She lays down and we say prayers. We cover her up and she goes to sleep. Wow, I feel very blessed that bedtime is that easy. I hope it always will be. I am enjoying it for now.

playing with Ty

Ty came over this morning to play with Hannah. They are so funny together. Hannah does like to be the boss. Ty liked to see how many things he could hold at one time and Hannah liked to tell where to go. When he would come near her she would say, "Go." She also likes to love on him. We are glad Ty came to play with us this morning.

new trick

Hannah has learned how to take her shirt off. In the mornings when she wakes up she calls me then says, "that." This morning, while I was still in the bed, she said, "mama, that." I asked her what that was. She answered, "shirt." I decided to get the camera and take a picture of her. I have no idea how she gets her shirt off. When I try to get her to take her shirt off before her bath she never does it. I hope that she does not decided to do it at daycare or church.

feeding Noah

This morning Hannah decided that she needed Noah to eat breakfast with her. I was packing her lunch for daycare while she was eating. She called me and when I looked she was feeding Noah. I am glad that she does know it is nice to share.

pretty day

Today was such a pretty day. It was actually cool enough for Hannah to wear a fall outfit. I have bought her a ton of clothes at three consignment sales. I washed all of them last night and dressed her in this cute outfit today. She figured out today that she could push herself on the riding toy. We had so much fun playing outside and enjoying the nice weather.

treatment with Elmo

Hannah has take a preventative treatment every morning and night. Derrick decided tonight that Elmo needed to sit with her. She did not move him until she got up to go to bed.

good week

Hannah made it all week without biting anyone. She has decided now to just boss them around. Sheri and Nana tell me that she tells the kids to go something and they do it. I like to think of her as a leader in the making, not bossy. She has felt much better this week and has been really good. We went back to the doctor today. She still has fluid in her left ear and the tube is not in place. The doctor said it could fall out at anytime. If she get another ear infection soon we will have to have the tube replaced. She got her flu shot today since we were there and she was well. She only cried for a few minutes.

coloring

Hannah loves to color. I was naming the colors for her one day and now she likes to hold up the crayon and say that so I will tell her the color. She can say yellow and blue. Sometimes she get them right when you ask her what color something is. She has only been coloring on her paper lately.

PB&J

PB&J is one of Hannah's favorites these days. She likes to hold the sandwich and feed it to herself. So big.

more biting

When I called to check on Hannah at lunch time today I got some bad news. She had biten twice before lunch time. Nana did not tell me who she bit this time. I hope that it does not look at bad as the mark she left on Ty. I do not know what to do with her.

18 months old

Hannah is 18 months old today. She went for her 18 month check up and recheck of her ears and chest. Her breathing is great but she has an ear infection in her left ear. The doctor can't tell if the tube is not working or if the infection is just that bad. We just went to the doctor last Thursday and she just had a cold. I seem to always take her to the doctor just a little too soon. She gave her an antibiotic and wants to see her again in ten days. Good news from the doctor is that she is in the 75 percentile for height, 32 1/2 inches tall. She is still only in the 25 - 30 for weight, 23 lbs. The doctor was impressed with her verbal skills and how well she understands and responds to questions. If we could just get her ears cleared up we would be great. She also got her last two boosters. No more shots until she starts kindergarten. Yeah!!!

Decorating

Yesterday when I came home from work I saw some crayon marks on the wall. We have a table with a large chart on it for Hannah to draw on in Derrick's office. When I talked to him he asked me if I had seen Hannah's art work. I had not noticed that it went around into the hallway. She had not only colored on the wall but the trim and changed colors. Derrick had kept her at home with him later since he did not have to go to work early. He said he was at his computer and she was coloring. When to turned around and called her name, to tell her how good her drawing was, she about jumped out of her skin. Then he noticed the wall, then the trim, then the wall in the hall. He took her crayons away and told her no coloring on the wall. We knew it would happen at some point.

Labor Day Weekend

Since I had Monday off and there were two new family members to meet, we went to SC. Hannah thought she would like to drive us. I sure that time will come before I am ready for it. She is not into long road trips so we got her a DVD player for the car. She liked watching Elmo and EIEIO (Baby Einstein, Baby MacDonald). She wore the headphones for a little while, then we just had to listen to what she was watching. Which was better than listening to her cry. Meme had taken a cat home that had shown up at our house the weekend before. Hannah thought it was fun to follow it around with its toy. When the cat would touch the toy she would pull it away and tell it no. We are working on sharing. Monday before we left Nannie and Paul came to see Hannah one more time. Nannie wanted us to leave her, but I told her I would be to sad to not have her with me. We will be back at Thanksgivng for a week.

Baby Peyton

We also got to meet baby Peyton while in SC. Hannah was sleep the first time we went to see him. So was Peyton and his mommy so we did not stay long. The next day I went to see Peyton again, so I could hold him. Hannah was havnig too much fun with Papa to go with Aunt Jan and I to visit. I sure she will be glad to meet him when we go back to SC for Thanksgivng.

Baby Marla

While we were in SC for Labor Day we got to meet baby Marla. I think Aunt Robin got I good picture of them. I was holding Marla and Hannah climbed up in the chair with me. She just patted her back and said, "Shhh, baby." She did sneak up on me one time and pat her a little hard. The second time she climbed up in the chair she looked at her and saw she was asleep. Then in her loud voice said, "Boo!" When Marla did not wake up she laughed a little and got down. I got one picture of her telling Marla bye.
