trick-or-treat

Tonight we went to Aunt Debbie's to eat dinner and trick-or-treat. Hannah loved getting dressed in her bee costume. She even wore her headband the whole time. If it feel off she would say, "Uh oh" and try to put it back on. She loved going out with the big girls. She held Jackie's hand and kept up. The girls had her saying candy. She would walk up to the person, get a pieice of candy, put it in her pumpkin, and then say bye. About half way around the circle she had had enough. We went back to find Aunt Debbie. She had a great time. We felt for sure she would fall asleep on the way home. She did not. We came home, got a treatment, and still had to be rocked a little before getting in the bed. She is sleeping good now. She should be tired. Thanks Aunt Debbie for having us over and thanks Jackie for letting Hannah trick-or-treat with you.

bee

Derrick did some puctures of Hannah before we went trick-or-treating in her cute costume. Hannah has loved carring her pumpkins around. She will say."pumpkin, orange." She is getting too big. Thanks MeMe for the costume. Hannah was glad you and PopPop could be here for Halloween.

too cute

Nana and Papa sent Hannah a Halloween dress. She looked too cute in it. Derrick took some good pictures of her in it, but this one is all I have on my computer. When he sends me the good ones I will change the picture. We can't wait to dress her up and go trick or treating Wednesday night. She is too cute and too much fun.

the girls

Hannah enjoyed meeting Bev, Sarah, and Sammy. She had lots of fun playing with Sammy. We are glad that they came to visit. We are planning on going to Kansas this summer to visit with them again. We hope they will come back and visit anytime.

peek-a-boo

While we were waiting to eat at the Cheesecake Factory Hannah enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with Sammy. She seems to be feeling even more like her old self today.

feeling much better

I stayed home with Hannah today. We were not sure how she would feel the day after surgery and did not want to chance her going to daycare. She woke up feeling much better. She got my school bag and was carrying it around saying, "Mama go." I think she wanted me to go to work. She helped me clean a little since we had family coming in today. I am glad that she is getting back to her old self.

my dad

Hannah just wanted a little dad time today. I think they both enjoyed it.

thanks Jackie

Thank you Jacqulin for sending Hannah a teddy bear. She shared her milk with him and then laid him beside her while she watched Elmo.

surgery

Hannah was able to have her surgery today. She enjoyed playing with the magnetic table in the waiting room. When they called us back to the pre-op room she just sat, then laid, on the bed and watched TV. They gave her some medicine, then about 20 minutes later came and took her. They said it would take 20-30 miutes. It seemed like it took forever, but the doctor came to talk to us and said she did great. He said she had a lot of anenoid tissue and some fluid in her left ear. He said to call if we had any problems and that he would like to see her in three weeks. When they called us back to the recovery room she was not happy. She was crying and not even awake good. She still had her IV in, which she was not happy about. After we had been back there for about 20 minutes they decided to give her some pain medicine. She fussed a little more and then went to sleep. We had to wait two hours from the time she was out of surgery to come home. She has still not eaten anything but has had some water and a cup and a half of milk. She has just laid around and watched her videos. Aunt Deborah came to bring us her medicine so I would not have to go back out. Thanks Aunt Deborah. She was getting very restless, so I gave her some pain medicine about 2:30. I put her in her bed and she by 3:00 she was sound asleep. I hope that she will feel better when she gets up from her nap.

counting

Last night Hannah was playing with a push toy. She said, "One, two, go!" Then pushed it away. She usually only counts when she goes up or down the steps. This morning she was holding and ball and said, "One, two, go!" Then threw the ball. I guess one, two is a start. We will keep practicing.

ENT

I took Hannah to the ENT today. He said that her left ear was clear for now and the right ear looked great. Follow by the statement, we had two options: 1. Wait it out through the winter and see how she does. 2. Put in a new set of tubes and take her adenoids. I asked him what he would do if it was his child. He said he would choose option number 2. After talking with Derrick we dicided to go with option number 2 as well. We did not want to go through a winter of one ear infection after another without the tubes in place. We felt like that was unfair to her. I will call tomorrow to schedule the surgery.

Sunday nap

Hannah found her pillow from Aunt Katie. I had put is where I thought she would not see it. I did not want her to get it dirty, but she decided she wanted it in her bed. I have seen her sleeping on it several times, but never when it was a good time to take her picture. Today when I went in to check on her she was sleeping on it and did not move before I got the camera. She was sleeping good.

Bumble Bee

Hannah spent the day with Grandma Nene. I was staying at school for our Fall Family Night. I was not going to bring Hannah since she was having fun with Nene. To many teachers kept asking about her so I called Nene and asked her if they would come to the school. She dressed her in the bee costume and brought her. Hannah was not in to talking to anyone until she found Alan. They had a great time tickling and scaring each other. I am glad that Nene brought her for everyone to see.

Grandpa Mike & Grandma Nene

Hannah was very glad to see Mike and Nene. She has not learned to say grandpa or grandma yet, but she knows who they are. Hannah had eaten dinner before us, but when she saw us at the table she decided she wanted more. She enjoyed sitting with Grandpa Mike and eating some of his bread. We are so glad that they came to visit.

sucker

After the haircut, ball game, and lunch we decided to run to the mall the look for Hannah a pair of tennis shoes. She fell asleep on the way to the mall and slept for a little while. When I went to try a shoe on her she woke up. She was not happy at all. She did not want any shoes on her feet and decided to scream and cry every time we tried one on her. The nice people at at the last store asked if she could have a sucker. I think they were just tired of hearing her cry. She did not want any part of it until we were leaving the store. As you can tell from the picture she greatly enjoyed it.

Jackie

When I went to pick Hannah up yesterday she asked for Jackie. I told her that we could not see Jackie today, but maybe tomorrow. Jacqulin or Jackie, as Hannah calls her, is playing softball so we went to watch her play. She did a great job and Hannah had fun cheering for her.

first hair cut

Derrick and I have debated getting Hannah's hair cut. He did not want to until he was looking at the pumpkin patch pictures. He said that she looked like she had a mullet. We decided to take her this morning when we could both go. I wanted to have it on video and take pictures. She did great! We took her to Snip It's. She got her prize card and sat in the chair like a big girl. Derrick and I were very impressed. Karen cut her hair and gave us some tips on how to better care for her hair. When she was finished Hannah got to put her card in the prize machine. Her prize was a little, rubber duck, which she loved. I hope now her hair will not be in her eyes all the time and will maybe grow faster and thicker.

brush your teeth

Most days Hannah likes to brush her teeth by herself. We always brush them for her at night. She decided she wanted to brush her teeth with dad this morning.

puzzles

Hannah can now put two of her puzzles together all by herself. She puts a piece in the wrong place and says, "No." Then she puts it where it goes and claps for herself. She is too funny.

doctor

I took Hannah back to the doctor today. Her daddy took her last Friday and she had another ear infections. She is still coughing and not really acting like herself. The doctor called her in a different antibiotic on Thursday and said she could see her on Friday. Her left ear looked a little better but is still full on yellow fluid. Her chest sounds great, so the doctor is not worried about the cough. We go to the ENT a week from Monday to see about getting the tube put back in her left ear. I hope the new medicine will help her feel better until then.

bathtime

Derrick decided to take pictures of Hannah last night during bath time. He took some cute naked bottom pictures, but I did not think Hannah would appreciate it if I posted them. This was my favorite that he took last night. She is so much fun.
