big plans for New Year's Eve

We spent our New Year's Eve taking down the Christmas decorations, unpacking suitcases, unpacking the two boxes of Christmas presents that were waiting on the porch for us, and cleaning house. Dad hooked up the Wii so he and Hannah could try it out. He and Uncle Kyle left later and went to their New Year Eve gathering and Hannah and I stayed home. We watch movies for a little while, then I put her to bed. I laid on the couch and watched TV and did nothing. The plans worked out great for me. I am not sure I will be up until midnight.

I ready to go home

We all know that it is nice to get away, but it is also nice to get home. Hannah told me yesterday morning when she got up that she was ready to go to her house and see her friends. We got everything packed and loaded in the car, made some last minute stops, ate some lunch with Nana, Aunt Katie, and MeMe and were on the road by 1pm. We pulled in the dirveway at 5:45. Coming back today was one of the best trips we have made in a while. We even stopped three times to go to the bathroom. Hannah stayed dry the whole way! She did not fall asleep until about 5. She just talked, sang, and watched movies the rest of the time. She was excited to get to play with her kitchen with all the food and appliances she got for Christmas. Thanks again everyone for all the great gifts. We are glad we were able to come and spend time with the whole family. The next trip we make the SC will be with 2 kids. I am sure that will be an adventure.

shower for Hunter

Aunt Jan and Linda gave us a shower for Hunter. He got some really cute clothes, blankets, and many other baby things we will need. Thanks to everyone for coming and the gifts. Hannah had fun helping open his presents.

his name is.....

HUNTER MICHAEL HOOD

We finally decided and Hunter is what we always seem to come back to. Hopefully this will help Hannah to accept the fact that she is having a brother a little better.

I will not change the blog address. Everything will be the same to get to blog. You can know read about both of our sweet, precious babies on one blog. Enjoy and check back often.

I like that girl

We enjoyed lunch with MeMe, PopPop, Aunt Joan, Cheree, Jennifer and Kevin today. Cheree did not get to come to the first Christmas we had a MeMe's so we did Christmas with her today. Hannah had a great time playing with her. They played and read books all afternoon. I did not have my camera with me, but Aunt Joan took some pictures. I will have to get her to email them to me so I can post them. Thanks for lunch and the gifts. On the way home Hannah said, "I like that girl. She is very nice." We think she is very nice too.
Thanks Aunt Joan for sending me the pictures you took. This one is my favorite.

Christmas at Nannie's

Nannie's is our last stop on the Christmas rounds. We had a good time visiting with family. Hannah got lost of Ariel things and a new Dora DVD. She enjoyed playing with Myles and seeing the chickens, roosters, and other figurines that Nannie has. Thanks for the gifts.

Christmas at Mike & Nene's

Hannah was very excited to open presents again at Mike and Nene's. She wanted to open each things, completely, before moving on to the next. We did get her to open all of them before taking all of them apart. She had another great Christmas. Thanks for all of the presents.

Christmas at Papa & Nana's

We went to Papa and Nana's to eat breakfast this morning and do Christmas with them. Hannah was so excited to see the present wrapped in Princess paper. She was really excited to see what was in that paper, FOOD! She is set for her kitchen. We now have food, pizza, cookies, an apron, pots and pans, a microwave, a mixer, and kitchen utensil set. Hopefully she will enjoy her kitchen even more when we get home.

sweet girl

When I woke up this morning Hannah was in the bed with us. We both got up and got ready and she was still asleep. She looks so big in this picture.

is it too late?

When we got back to Mike and Nene's we got to missing Hannah. She was sitting in the kitchen floor writing on a piece of paper. I asked her what she was doing. She said, "I am making a list for Santa." She would not tell me what was on the list, but I am sure that he knows what she wants.

Christmas at MeMa & Papa Charlie's

After leaving Aunt Carol's house we went to MeMa's. Hannah was so excited to see WeeOne and she was just as excited to see Hannah. Thanks to everyone for the great presents. It was good to see everyone and spend a little more time with them. We missed the family who could not make it to MeMa's.

the gift she did not want to share

Christmas at Aunt Carol's

We had a great time seeing everyone at Aunt Carol and Uncle Roy's. Our family is growing and growing. Next Christmas we will have two new members to join is, a boy and a girl. It was fun to watch Hannah and Peyton together. Hannah did not want to share any of her presents with him. Thanks for the 2007 Family Christmas DVD and for the gifts.

it's Jackson

Hannah was very happy to see Jackson. She talks about him all the time. She liked chasing him, while Dad held her, and making him run away. She just laughed and laughed. She threw the Frisbee to him several times. I am glad that she let me take a picture of her with Jackson. He was about to give her a kiss. He was very sweet with her.

enjoying Christmas presents already

Hannah was ready to play with her presents when she got up this morning. She fixed us all pizza and cookies for breakfast. She also had a great time playing with the huge thing of Play-Doh that Marla gave her. (I did not get a picture of her playing with the Play-Doh this morning.) It is so fun to watch her play and hear her talking and pretending.

Christmas at MeMe & PopPop's

Hannah and Jillian were helping Marla open her present.
Hannah was helping Dad open more presents.
Food for the kitchen. YEAH!!!
Stamps like you get at gymnastics.
We were trying to get a picture of Hannah and Marla in front of the tree, but they were more worried about giving each other hugs. Too sweet!

We had a great time at MeMe's last night. It was fun to watch all of the kids. They all played well together and waited their turn to open their presents. Thank you for all of the presents and the food was great too!

let me snuggle with you

We were sitting on the couch watching The Polar Express and Hannah said, "Mama let me lay and snuggle with you." I was glad to let her since she usually only wants to snuggle with Dad. She decided that she needed her headband like me. She would have watched the whole movie, but we made her go to bed. We told her we could watch it later since we have it. She was fine with that and went right to bed.

look at Boots

Hannah had fun playing at MeMe's while we finished Christmas shopping and went to the movies. She was so happy that Boots let her pet him. She like to see all the animals and play with the doll houses at MeMe's. Thanks for watching her so we could finish shopping.

dinner at the Hayes'

We went to the Hayes' for dinner and to visit with friends tonight. It was good to see the Talley's and Ross' tonight. The girls had fun playing and Will and Jared even joined it for a little while. It is hard to believe how fast time flies. I remember getting together with everyone when only Paige and Chris had kids, now we there are 6 kids and 2 on the way. The video is of the girls doing ring around the roses just before we left. Thanks for having us over the soup and sandwiches were great!

Christmas from Great Papa's

We went to Nana and Papa's to visit after nap today. They had Hannah's presents from Great Papa's Christmas, which was last Saturday. It is too hard for us to make a quick trip and then come back a week later, so we had to miss it. Hannah thought it was fun to open all the presents under the tree. Thanks everyone for the presents.

Mattison's play

We went to see Mattison in her Christmas play at church this morning. It was great. Hannah was the most excited that Mattison got to be Mary and hold baby Jesus. She wanted to know why Mattison did not have the thing on her head like the "real" Mary does. I am cracked up at what she pays attention to. The Christmas play was great and we are glad we were in town to see it.

a sweet prayer

This morning I was getting Hannah dressed for church and she said, "Mom wait a minute." I asked her why and she folded her little hands and said, "Thank you God for this warm house, the cold outside, the sunshine, and for making me so special. Amen." I asked her who taught her to say such sweet prayers. She said, "You and Dad did. We have to tell God thank you for things." I told her that was right. What a sweet girl. That little prayer made my whole day.

Christmas at Aunt Jan's

We had a good time seeing everyone at Aunt Jan's tonight. I had in my mind that we had to be there at 5:30, so I let Hannah sleep until 5. When I called to tell them we were on our way, but not to wait on us to eat I remembered that we were suppose to be there at 5pm. We still made it and were able to visit with everyone. I did not take any pictures. Hannah and Peyton were fun to watch. He wanted to hug her, but she wanted no part of it. She is not into giving hugs these days. I will do better at our next gathering about taking pictures.

Polar Express Day

Hannah went to school with me today. We had a half day and got to wear our pajamas to school. We did not want her to take a nap because we want her to sleep in the car while we drive to SC. She was great at school. She sat with my friends and did everything I asked her to. She only wanted to sit by the friend with the red glasses. She loves Haley and asks about her often. I was glad that she was able to spend the day with me at school. She was a very good girl! These are the great ladies I teach with. We have a great time working together. Hannah talks about them, but will not always talk to them.

supervising Dad

Hannah needed to watch Dad put the dryer hose back on the dryer. She only asked him about a million questions about what he was doing. She will ask a question, you answer, and then she says, "for?" Just the other day she asked why for the first time. I am sure we will be getting more why questions. She was a good supervisor.

Christmas with Ty and Todd

We went to dinner with Ty, Toddy and Mrs. Sharon tonight. Mr. Daniel was sick so he did not get to come. We hope he feels better soon. Hannah and Ty ate a good dinner and then had fun opening presents. Todd liked the paper more than the present. Thanks for eating dinner with us and for the present.

They even got to "play" the game that has been put in at Snappy Tomato.

let's watch Ariel

Hannah has watched The Little Mermaid at least 100 times now. She will ask to watch it and get on the couch with her blanket. She is starting to learn the words to the songs she has seen it so much. I guess the long nap and playing with her new toys from Santa made her tired.
