New Year's Eve

We had a fun day at home playing and unpacking. Kylie came to play with us. Hannah was very happy to have someone to play with all day. I think she had really missed seeing her friends. We decided to get out tonight, but were not very successful in accomplishing much. We tried to go to Costco, they closed at 5. We did go by Verizon, to dinner, and to the Sumner's to see Aunt Debbie's new kitchen. It looks great and it was good to see them. We hate that we missed Jacqulin. We were going to leave there and go to the grocery store, but it closed at 9. We came home and go the kids in the bed. Derrick and I kept unpacking and working on cleaning up. I think we were both asleep before midnight. I am glad that we were able to spend time as a family today and get ready for 2010.

what is that I hear?

I put Hannah, Kylie, and Hunter down for a nap. The girls when right to sleep but I heard a loud noise coming from Hunter's room. The was having a big time playing instead of napping. I had to take his picture being so silly. He did finally go to sleep and took a really good nap too.

home, sweet home

We had a great time in FL and SC, but it is really good to be home. I hope that we will have get a good nights sleep. We have been productive today. We have unpacked all of the kids clothes and put them away and cleaned out Hannah's room. I told her before we left for Christmas that when we got back we were going to go through her toys and give some away to children who did not have any. She was okay with that. I held up the toys/books/etc. and she said keep or give it away. I am proud of her for parting with some of her things. Good night, we have more unpacking and cleaning out to do tomorrow.

one last lunch date

Today is our last full day in SC. I got an email this morning that Kidville was having a buy one get one free sale so I decided that I should make a trip to see what I could find. I was going to go before out lunch date, but did not have time. We were a little late meeting Jennifer and baby Micah, but still had a good time visiting with them at lunch. Micah is growing so fast and is too cute. Of course I did not take any pictures. Thanks for meeting us so we could visit for a little while. When we left lunch we went to Kidville. Hunter was pretty happy to ride in the stroller for a little while and Hannah was happy to push him around. I was able to find a few things, so it was a happy trip for us all. We left there and went back to take naps. Both kids were really tired because they slept for almost 3 1/2 hours. We enjoyed a nice dinner with Mike, NeNe and Aunt Lori. Derrick and I went to the Y to learn how to stretch Uncle Kyle's leg. We are excited that he will be coming back to TN soon. When we got back to Mike and NeNe's we started packing the car so we would be ready to go home in the morning. We have lots to get packed, wish us luck.

Dinner with the Miller's

We met the Miller's at Chick-fil-a for dinner tonight. I am glad that Haley has decided she likes Derrick so we can all eat together. Dawn and I do not get to visit much if it is just us and the kids. Getting to hang out with good friends is one thing I really miss about living in Easley. Don't get me wrong, I love our life in TN, but I sure do miss friends and family. It was good to catch up and watch the kids. We let them play outside for just a few minutes since it was so cold. I did get one picture of Haley holding Hunter. Hunter thought Haley and Natalie were good entertainment and he loved Jeremy. Thanks guys for meeting us for dinner.

MeMa, Papa Charlie & Wee One

Today we went to visit MeMa, Papa Charlie and Wee One. Hannah loves to play with Wee One and is getting much better about talking to MeMa. She is still a little shy with Papa Charlie. Hunter fell asleep on the way there and slept for a little while. MeMa gladly held him while he slept. When he woke up he was happy to see Wee One as well. Hannah and Hunter both had a good time entertaining MeMa and Papa Charlie. It was nice to visit with them for a while.

Christmas with the Hayes'

We went to the Hayes' tonight for dinner and to let the girls and Hunter exchange gifts. The girls play so well together. We only had one major melt down from Hannah, which was not bad considering she had no nap. Matt cooked potato soup and it was yummy. Hunter even got to taste some and he really liked it. It was fun watching the girls and Hunter open their gifts. I am glad we were able to spend time the the Hayes' tonight, wish we could have stayed longer, but sleep is a necessity. Thanks for having us over and for the fun presents.

my poor sweet girl

This morning at church Hannah was running, I know you should not let your kids run in church, and fell. Derrick went to see about her and when he got her to stop crying she said she hit her head. He felt it and got a very concerned look on his face. There was a place the size of a ping pong ball. Paige got us some ice to put on. Hannah did not cry long and did pretty good about keeping the ice on it. We would ask her if she was ok and she would say, "I am fine my head just hurts right here, pointing to the huge bump, but don't touch it." We went to eat lunch with MeMe and Pop Pop and see seemed fine all afternoon. She went for a walk with MeMe to check on all of the animals and jumped on the trampoline. By the time we left MeMe's her head looked a little better. I am very thankful that it did not bust open.

Saturday already

Hunter was doing a little workout before getting a bath.
Hannah wanted me to take her picture by the "cute little tree" when we were leaving Aunt Jan's.

We have done lots of visiting since we made it to Easley. We never seem to have enough time to spend with everyone or are able to see everyone we want to see while we are in Easley. Today we were able to eat breakfast with Chrissy. All of us except Hannah. She did not want to eat breakfast with us. After breakfast we went to Aunt Jan's to see Ian and Thomas, Linda's grandchildren. Hannah had fun playing with them and Hunter enjoyed watching. It will not be long before he can join them. When we left there we went to get naps so we could go to the movies. Hunter went to spend some time with Papa and Nana while we went to see the Princess and the Frog with Mike and Nene. It was a cute movie. Hannah liked it and Derrick slept though most of it. Good thing he has Hunter to take to action/boy movies. After the movie we went to have dinner with Papa and Nana. We were glad to eat with Uncle Kyle too. We had a good day but are ready for bed. We have another busy day tomorrow. Can you believe that I did not take any pictures today?

Christmas with Mike & NeNe

We left Nannie's and went back to Mike and NeNe's to have our Christmas with them. When we were getting in the car Hannah said, "When we get to NeNe's can I open my present in the "tivity" paper." I told her sure, then busted out laughing when I realized she was talking about the present for her what was wrapped in paper that had the Nativity on it. Before we went to Nannie's she had talked NeNe into making a pile of all of her presents. We had a great time opening presents with Mike, NeNe, and Aunt Lori. Thank for all of our gifts.

Christmas at Nannie's

After leaving Papa and Nana's we went to get naps so we would be ready for the next gathering. We went to Nannie's for dinner. Nannie is getting a good collection of great grandchildren as well. It is fun to watch all of the kids together. They are good entertainment. We had good food and a good time visiting. Thanks for all of our gifts.

Christmas with Papa & Nana

Hannah showed Nana and Papa her Disney pictures.
Hunter just wanted to play with the toy that was already open.

We went to Papa and Nana's to do Christmas this morning. Papa cooked pancakes and bacon for us. Nana fed Hunter while we ate our pancakes. We had a good time opening presents and visiting with Papa, Nana and Uncle Kyle. Thanks for breakfast and all of our gifts.

more pics from CeCe's

Ma Dot liked her calendar of Hannah and Hunter.
Looks like they are having a good time to me.
We gave Ma Dot a picture of all her great grandchild that we had made at Thanksgiving. She loved it.
Hunter and Kaylee trying to decide what to get into.

Christmas at CeCe's

Hunter pulled Preston's sock off. He does not like socks so he thought he would help her out.

Uncle Kyle fed Hunter his dinner and go most of it in his mouth, but I am glad Hunter had a bib on. We will let Uncle Kyle practice feeding him more often. Practice makes perfect.

We usually go to Aunt Carol's on Christmas Eve to celebrate with the Rampey family, but this year we went to CeCe's. Aunt Carol, Uncle Roy and Angie were in Gatlinburg. I hope you all had fun, we missed you. I remember Ma Dot telling me when I told her I was pregnant with Hannah that she had prayed that she would live long enough to have one great grandchild. She has had her prayer answered times 5. She now has 5 great grandchildren. It was good to have everyone together for a little while. Hunter and Kaylee love each other. I wish we lived closer so they could play more. Thanks CeCe for having us over and thanks to everyone for the kids gifts. They had a great time.

Christmas at MeMe & Pop Pop's

We left FL this morning at 6am and made it to Easley at 4pm. Just enough time to give the kids a bath and for all of us to change clothes before going to MeMe's at 6pm. It was good to visit with everyone and the kids had a great time opening presents and playing together. Thanks MeMe for cooking a tasty dinner and thanks to everyone for the kids presents.

just a few more Disney pictures

I took these pictures with my phone but wanted to have them on the blog.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

We left Animal Kingdom to meet Nene, Hunter, Aunt Lori, Aunt Kim and the rest of the family to see The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. There were tons of light that were synchronized to music. It was very neat. After seeing it we went to get our seats to watch Fantasmic! Hannah was not too sure about it at first but when all of the Princesses started coming out she loved it. Hunter stayed awake for about the first ten minutes if that. I think that Hannah had a wonderful first trip to Disney. I hope it is the first of many. I can't wait until Hunter is old enough to go to the parks with us. I am sure we will have many fun times as a family here at Disney. Thanks Kim for inviting us to come and providing us a place to stay. Thanks Mike and Nene for watching Hunter so we could take Hannah to the parks.
