The kids went to the dentist today and had a great check up. They got vampire teeth and Hunter is so excited that he has teeth he can take out. He is a MESS!
Hannah and Derrick finished her robot tonight. She was so excited. It looks great.

stay at home day

Coloring is one of the kids favorite things to do right now. They like to lay in the kitchen floor so they can have a hard surface to color on.
Hunter knew these 4 letters when I asked him to tell me his letters. He knew 8 but could only tell me these 4 consistently. At least he knew 4, that is better than the 0 he knew when he started K3.
Derrick and Hannah started working on her robot project tonight. She has a head. That is a good start.

a top tooth

Hannah pulled her tooth on the way home from church and did not tell me until we were home.

She was so excited because the tooth fairy had just come to school today to talk to all of the students about taking care of their teeth. She said she had to hurry and get in the bed because the tooth fairy starts coming at 8. I did not think all of her teeth would come out at once, but she has lost three pretty close together.

a tiny little visitor

We kept Shayla this weekend while Mrs. Nicole was at work. Hannah went with me to pick her up.

Hunter was so excited. He put a picture he had made on her play mat so she could see it. He said she really liked it.

The kids did not react the way I thought they would. I thought Hannah would love having a baby in the house and that Hunter would be jealous. Hannah really did not have much to do with her and Hunter loved having her here.

I might have held her while she napped for a little while.

Look how happy she is when she wakes up, at 8:30! She woke up at 5 and ate both mornings and then went back to sleep until 8 or 8:30.
All dressed and ready for church.
Hannah finally asked to hold her.

Our attempt at a group picture before we had to take sweet Shayla home.

Thanks for coming to spend the weekend with us sweet Shayla, you are a wonderful baby.

Happy Valentine's Day

I am trying to be better about taking pictures of the 4 of us. We took this before we left for work and school and we were all on time.

They are so silly when I want to take a good picture of them.
All my goodies from my kids. They are so sweet!

 Checking out all their Valentine's.

 Our yummy Valentine's dinner.

Hunter really enjoyed his heart doughnut for dessert.
We hope that you all had a Happy Valentine's Day and were able to spend it with loved ones.

my cup is full

Hannah said, "Mom is you are going to post this picture of him you need to say, church wore him out!"
Hannah was so excited to get bathing suits for swim team. We were excited that we found Speedo suits for $11.99.
I am so glad that Allison asked me to go hear Angie Smith speak tonight. It was WONDERFUL! I could listen to Angie for hours.

They feed us dinner from the Puffy Muffin and it was yummy!
After some more praise and worship and drama by Allison Allen, who is leading a study at our church right now, we hear the end of Angie's message for us. We also saw about 15 ladies baptized and I am not sure how many saved. It was a wonderful night.
It was like a mini dotMOM. Thanks Nicole for driving and thanks Allison for inviting us all to go.

no water

We woke up to no water this morning. I had a friend coming to do facials and had to call her to cancel. We needed water to have facials. Since we could not do much without any water we just stayed in our pjs and worked on our Valentine cards. Hunter did a good job writing his H's on all his cards. He wrote is H and r in the cards for the grandparents and great grandparents.

I should have taken a closer picture but if you look closely you can see his H's.
Hannah was able to do her cards with no help from us. She wrote cards until she used all 32 of them.
Since it was nice outside I sent the kids out to play. We had water back by lunchtime. We had a good non busy day at home.

the tooth fairy will come again

Hannah lost another tooth. This is tooth number 4 and 5 and 6 are loose as well. She usually pulls her teeth or should I say lets them almost fall out, when I am not here. She woke up to got the bathroom and came to tell me she had lost her tooth. She has had a cold so her lips are really chapped, but I wanted to get a picture of her missing tooth.

thankful

I am thankful that Derrick take the kids to school when he is off so I can have a little alone time in the mornings. I am thankful that I can call Donna on my why to work and talk to her before school starts. I am thankful for Sonic, Coke Zero is my normal, but since a sweet friend gave me a gift card, today I got hot chocolate as well. I am thankful that I have a great class this year, for the most part. I am thankful that God gives me little reminders everyday of how good He is to me. I hope you will take some time to day and think about what you are thankful for.

Super Bowl

We went to the Keeble's for the annual Super Bowl party. We have so many kids now!!! They were really good. Their favorite part of the night was watching Cinderella.
Thanks Keeble's for having us over. We had a great time.

This is what Hunter did while he was waiting to get a bath. He is such a silly boy!

our little artist

We decided we had been in the house long enough so we went to Blue Coast for dinner and then had to go to Menchie's. Hannah drew Menchie and did a really good job.

not the day I had planned

I woke up this morning and was excited to see no snow. I got in the shower and started getting ready. While I was getting ready Hunter came running in the bathroom yelling, "IT IS SNOWING!!!" This is the one time I did not want it to snow. We were supposed to be getting ready to do to a parenting seminar at church. I had been looking forward to it for months, since at least November, and it was cancelled. I also like to have snow days when it gets us out of school. I decided instead of being sad and having a bad day that I would only be sad for a few minutes and then make the best of this day. I started thinking about all the things that would make this day good. Here are a few...
 a beautiful snow covered backyard,
a sweet little guy who wants to snuggle and make silly faces with me,
and a yummy breakfast and a little time with God!

After we all ate and got several layers of clothes on we headed out to play.

 Hannah made a snowcat.

Gypsy was not really a fan of the snow.

I love how beautiful snow looks on trees.
Hannah really wanted to make a big snowman but the snow was too dry.

I had my kids at school tell me what they like best about snow and I told them I like making snow angels. I thought I would take a picture to show them on Monday.
Hunter was cold and ready to come in. I brought him in to warm up and watch a little Woody Wood Pecker. It was nice to snuggle with him for a little while, again.

Hannah, Derrick and MeMe all stayed out to play longer. They went to the Tucker's to play with their grandkids and had a great time. From the looks of the dinning room we all stayed warm and had fun. I will have to say this day has turned out better than I had planned.
