home

We came home today to this beautiful sunset! I am glad God chooses to show us how great He is each day.

Whiskers did not tear the tree down while we were gone, which is something else to be thankful for. He does like to play with the ornaments so we had to make sure none of them are hanging off the bottom of the tree. He looks so sweet and innocent sleeping, doesn't he?

Thanksgiving #3

These two are trouble together. They did not know Donna and I were watching. Matt and Derrick were not watching so they thought it would be fun to climb on top of the truck.
Hunter was being a good friend and pushing Chance in the swing. I love Chance's spiderman hat. He will be good and warm this winter.
The girls always have so much fun together. Thanks Hayes' for having us over to eat and play.
Our last Thanksgiving stop was Meme and PopPop's. I did not take many pictures. The kids loved playing with a new kitten that they found. It was very sweet and did not seem to mind them.

We made MeMe a table runner to have at her house.

Thanksgiving #2

I am so very thankful for these two!
This made me laugh. Uncle Wendell went to get dessert and came back with seconds and dessert on one plate. I am glad he did not let the dessert and food touch.
We made a table runner for Mama to take to her house. We almost ran out of room. I am thankful for so many family member and that they let me paint their hands.
Just a few pictures with Papa.

We made Papa Charlie a plate and took it to him. It was nice to visit with him for a little while. The kids love to see WeeOne as well. After visiting with him for a little while we went to see Aunt Carol, Uncle Roy and Angie. I did not take any pictures there. Sorry Aunt Carol, next time I will make sure to take a picture of you with the kids.
After a quick dinner at IHOP, because it was the only place open in Easley, we went back to Nana and Papa's to celebrate Sam's birthday.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and took time to thank God for all the blessing He gives us.

Thanksgiving #1

We met Aunt Jan and Linda for lunch. Hunter and Dad were playing with the straws. It was nice to catch up with them for a little while.
We had dinner tonight with Mike, Nene, Aunt Kim, Aunt Lori and Nannie. Derrick did a great job carving the turkey.
We made this fun table runner that I saw on Pinterest. I love it!

Thankful for my job

I LOVE teaching Pre-K! This is just one of the many reasons. Aniyah and her mom made me cookies and she wrote on the feathers. Melts my heart. I am very thankful to teach such great kids and work at such a wonderful school.

too much sweetness for one day

We wake up to Hunter sleep in the chair in our room almost every morning. I guess Gypsy just decided to share instead of getting up this morning. Look at that sweet face!

My kids learned this poem the first week of November when we started talking about Thanksgiving. They are too cute in their turkey headbands saying the poem not to share it. Enjoy!
If you know me well, you are probably shocked to see a picture of sweet potatoes on my blog. I don't eat orange things. I saw this recipe and thought it sounded good so I was brave and tried it. It was so YUMMY! Hannah doesn't eat potatoes and she ate all of hers. Hunter liked them too. I hope your day was full of sweet things.

Happy Sunday

Nene made these cute shirts for the kids. They look so precious in them. Thanks Nene!
I did a little baking this afternoon and was getting treats ready for teachers. I thought these were too cute not to take a picture of. They are pretty tasty!

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, with a little Thanksgiving

Hunter wanted Dad to help him.
Hannah did not want help decorating her tree.
Just so we did not leave Thanksgiving out!
 My little helper.
As he was walking up the step for about the tenth time he said, "My leg is cracking!" I am not sure if he was trying to say cramping or if his leg/knee popped.
This is my favorite  Christmas decoration.
Hannah wanted to put the star on top.She did a great job.
We are not finished decorating but have a good start. We like to have most of the decorating finished before we leave for Thanksgiving so when we come home we can just enjoy it.

it's the little things

Hunter was excited to pack his lunch today and get to use Dad's lunchbox from when he was little.

twins and friends

Aniyah and I were twins today so we stopped for a quick picture on the playground.

I am so glad that the cats have decided they can sit in the same chair without fighting.

The Word Connection

The preschool choir sang first this afternoon. They did a great job!

The children's choir did a great job. I thought we were close enough for good pictures, but I guess not. I am thankful for all the preschool and children choir workers who work with the kids every Wednesday night.

Operation Chistmas Child

We love making boxes for children around the world. We keep hoping one year that we will get a letter back from a child who receives the box from us.

boys and girls

Cutting the last few pieces of tile for the kid's bathroom.
Blasting off! (getting out all his energy I hope)
At times, Hannah will let me try to braid her hair new ways. I think this is one of my favorites.

new tradition

We have been going to Ckick-fil-A for dinner on Wednesday nights. We almost always see the Saunders' there. Tonight we ate with Ruth and Andrew. It is always fun seeing and sometimes getting to eat with them.

the biggest deer yet

I looked out this morning and this huge buck was in the yard. He is the biggest one that we have seen in our yard. I am sad that he limps when he walks. He is very pretty though.
