back to our regular routine (at least for today)

It was so nice to see the sun rising when I came back from spin this morning. It was a little hard getting up and going this morning since we've had so many snow days. It felt good to exercise and get my day started on a positive note.
My kids were happy to be back at school and love doing Go Noodle to get their wiggles out since it is too cold and wet to go outside.
I stayed late to work tonight and got everything ready for Read Me Week. It is probably my favorite week of the school year. We have so much fun learning during this week. This year our whole school is participating. Check back for pictures of all the fun.

snow day #10

Hunter was up early and started his day with some push ups.
I love waking up to snow!

Hannah and Hunter did not even want to go out and play in it today. They said if they can't build a snowman they will just stay in and play.
This is their favorite song at the moment. Enjoy!

Back to School

We went back to school today and had our Spring Fundraiser kick off. Mr. Frank got the kids really excited about selling Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies.
This is happening now. Guess we might not be in school tomorrow.

snow day #9

We were happy to have Carson to play with today. The kids have been great, but a friends always makes a day better.

Hunter had to go back to  the dentist to get two cavity filled. The kids played UNO while waiting.
Once we got home they worked on the Lego City for a little while.
After lunch it was time for some arts and crafts. They divided up for this fun.

I was going to make the bed but Gypsy looked to comfortable to move her, so I just left it unmade.
Hannah still hard it work making her mug.
The boys moved on to target practice.
Her mug is finished, now it just has to dry and she can paint it.
The drive way is not melting fast.
Hunter did finish his art project.
He was excited to get to pray for Mrs. Smith tonight. He prayed the sweetest pray for her.

snow day #7 and #8

Sunday we did not have church because the parking lot was an ice skating rink. We had a nice morning at home and then went to SNC (small group). We were happy to meet with friends and finish our study You and Me Forever.  You should read it and watch the videos at here.

We had a nice dinner and got the play with the newest member of the Bussell family.

Today Hunter slept in, until 8:40. He is not going to like getting back up for school when we go back. He loves to sleep on the couch.
Then he wanted a piece of toast, hot chocolate and cold pizza.

Hunter had a couple of places on his teeth that I was worried about so I called the dentist this morning. They said I could bring them on to have their teeth cleaned and they would check him out. Hannah was so excited that she will not have to go late to school in a couple of weeks. On the way they were talking about what flavor they would choose to have their teeth cleaned with. Hunter wanted grape and Hannah wanted mint. They talked about how Dr. McNutt would could their teeth and how "the girl" would floss them and clean them so good. It made me laugh. They get their love for the dentist from me. Hunter has two little sugar bugs (cavities) one on each side in the back of his mouth. Since we have no school tomorrow we are going back to the dentist to get them filled. He is excited we are going back and is already thinking about what movie he wants to watch while they work on his teeth. He is a little sad they are not giving him a silver tooth.
When I came home from the Y this was waiting on my desk. Hannah much have decided they needed to do a little school work. I love that she made the test and he took them.
We are ready for snow day #9 tomorrow!

snow day #6

What? I did not do anything mom! He had been on a hurt and brought back a "prize" which I will spare you the picture of. He was so proud of himself.

I think some of the ice/snow is melting. SLOWLY ever so SLOWLY!
It is still thick on the CRV.
That ice is so think. Derrick has to use four wheel drive to get in and out of the driveway.
We had a lazy day in our pjs all day. Hunter told me this morning that he loved days when we stay in our pjs. I was sitting in my room reading and Hunter came to my room. He just wanted to sit with me. We are sad there is no church tomorrow. We are still having small group so we will get out for that.

snow day #5

Hanging on to his cookie sheet!
 He needed to run!
Checking it all out, still frozen!
 She loves making snow angels
He decided to just sit down and slide down the hill instead of trying to walk down it, pretty smart!
 Working on a snowman.

When they came in to warm up Hannah asked if she could help count Box Tops. She did one bag.
 Icicle check - still there!
Whiskers does not know what to do. He loves to go outside but does not like the cold/ice/snow. A nap was his best choice.

It started snowing again about three this afternoon.

More snow was Hunter's cue to go out and start working on his snowman again. He is determined to build a snowman.

I love to watch it snow. It is so peaceful and calming.
 A little more sledding.
 One more snow angel.
Team work to  get the snowman built.
SUCCESS! Look how happy he is!

I went to fold clothes and found this. What a nice surprise. Hannah folded all the clothes when I asked her to fold hers.
Look who came to check out the snowman. They used a real carrot for the nose. We will look tomorrow and see if she ate it. It is way to cold and yucky to go back out tonight to see.
