I went to get my hair cut this morning and left Hunter with Derrick. I left Hunter swinging and Dad working on his room. I think they had a good time while I was gone.
I finally got all of Hannah's clothes and shoes in her new room. Look at all those shoes. She may not look like me but she is my child for sure when it comes to her love for shoes. She likes to keep her bedroom shoes by her bed, too cute.
She LOVES her new room. She will play in there for hours. When we get to missing her we know where to look for her.
Hannah had to go to the Asthma and Allergy doctor today. He asked how she had been doing and I was glad to tell him this was the best winter and spring we have had since she was born. He was glad to hear that. He wants us to start weaning her off of her medicines. Yeah!!!!! We are hoping it all goes well and by the end of June she will not be on any medicine.
When we picked her up to go to the doctor her teacher told me she has not napped all week. So this is what happened on the way home from the doctor.
share her bed with you. She wants him to lay in her bed for "just a minute" every night when we put her to bed. Then she has to give him a million hugs and kisses.
hold you. She just talks and sings to him. So sweet!!!
to sleep on his belly!!!! Yesterday and today when he was not content with anything I tried to do I put him on his belly for a little tummy time. He practices holding his head up a few times and then lays his head down and goes to sleep. I think he looks so cute with is little bottom in the air. He was fussing tonight and Derrick said he keeps arching his back like he is trying to turn over. I told him he wanted to lay on his belly. Derrick put him on his belly, gave him his paci and he is fast asleep. (NOTE: I only let him sleep on his belly when I am with him. He sleeps on his back or side at night.)
We put Hannah's bed on the frame Thursday night and were a little surprised at how high it was. She has to have a stool to get in and still has to pull herself up. We put the rail on one side and her pillows on the other. She has been good, so far, about staying in the middle or close to the rail. Her bedskirt will hopefully be here tomorrow and we are going to see about lowering her bed some. Dad can do anything. She was not happy at first about her kitchen being in her room, but she has been playing in her room all weekend. Thanks Dad for making her room look so good!!
Derrick went with the 5th graders from church to the Creation Museum this weekend, so I had the kids by myself for the first time today. Last night Uncle Kyle hung out with us to help. Thanks Uncle Kyle for helping. We started the day at 6:45 when Hannah woke up. I talked her into getting in the bed with me, but that only lasted about 30 minutes. After I fed Hunter I fixed Hannah and I breakfast, cinnamon rolls YUM!!! I got her and Hunter dressed, I got ready. I only took until 11am, but we made it out the door. We went to the school so she could play on the playground. She had fun and Hunter took a nap. We left the playground and went to Sonic to get a drink, since it was so hot outside. On our way to Sonic we saw Mrs. Jenn and Alan outside. We stopped by to see them on our way back to our house. We had a nice visit and then headed home to eat lunch. We ate outside even though it was very windy. Hannah ate a good lunch and Hunter slept. When Hannah went down for a nap Hunter woke up to eat. He ate and went back to sleep. Since they were both sleeping I started cleaning up the house. After naps we played outside, played inside, read some books and watched a movie. Hannah went to bed pretty good. She was sad that Dad was not home yet. She has only gotten up twice. She and Hunter are both sleeping now and I am waiting on Derrick to get home. We had a good day, but sure did miss having Dad at home. He is a big help and I am very thankful for all of his help with the kids.
These are some of my favorites that Derrick took. I have been waiting on him to retouch on and make it just right, but he has been too busy working on the kids rooms and other things. Sorry they are so late, but better late than never.
This is the best I could get. I am going to keep trying until I get a good picture of him smiling. In the last picture he is giving a kiss. So sweet!!!!
Wow! I can't believe he is already 3 weeks old. I am glad I got a picture of his eyes open. That is the first thing Hannah always says, "Are his eyes open?" His awake time is in the mornings while she is at school and at night when she is in the bed. She thinks all he does is sleep.
I was feeding Hunter and telling him that he needed to poop. He did not poop yesterday and was asking like his tummy hurt. I finished feeding him and was holding him when I felt him poop. Yeah Hunter!!! I waited a few minutes to make sure he was finished. I laid him down to change him. When I wiped his bottom poop shot out on my leg. I covered him up with the changing pad and took him to the kitchen so I could wash him off. When I pulled the changing pad down to wipe him off before washing him off, he started pooping again and covered me. After all the poop was out and I changed clothes he got a good bath and was a much happier baby.
Swinging on her new horse swing. His name is Erie Clover. Such a ham for her Dad tonight. Swinging her swing. Running. Smelling her tulips, that are almost ready!
I gave in and got out the Nuk paci for Hunter. He can't hold the round paci in his mouth. That make him mad and does not help us either. He likes for the loop to stand out or be flipped up on his nose. Silly boy!
The second I put Hunter on his frog mat Hannah was right there to watch him. We left him sleeping on the mat while we went to the table to eat dinner. Hannah was very upset that we left him alone. She wanted him to sit in his bouncy seat, which is in the dinning room, while we were eating. He cried out once and she said, "Mom go get Hunter, he is not happy." What a good big sister.
Hunter loves to be swaddled. He will go to sleep if he is not, but sleeps the best when he is swaddled. Doesn't he look so peaceful? I could not resist moving him over and taking a nap with him earlier today. He is such a good baby and a GREAT sleeper. We hope that will not change.
Derrick has all of the walls and the shelves painted. He has to stain the window seat then we can move her in the room. He still has to finish painting the bottom of the shelves, under the seat and make the drawers, but she can be in the room when he does that. She was so excited to see her name on the wall and things on her shelves. She likes to play in her room. She really enjoys lining up her crayons on the foot board of her bed. She says she puts them there for her friends to use when they come over. She will not like it when we put the bed on the frame an she can't do that anymore. I think her room looks great and know she will enjoy it. Good job Dad!! I will post pictures again when it is completely finished.
