Happy 100th Day!

 I love Zero the Hero! I am so glad she make the long trek down to Pre-K to visit us on the 100th Day! My kids loved seeing her each day that ended with a 0.

Zoo Run!

 Our first family 5k!

 Oh how they melt my heart!

 By the time we reached a mile and a half Hunter's little legs were tired. Derrick and Hannah ran on, I talked and Hunter rode. He kept saying, "Thanks Mom for carrying me."

 He was ready to run again when we got to the finish line. The announcer said, "Look at Spiderman go!" He was smiling so big and so proud!

 We all made it!

 One of my students drew this picture of Hunter. She is a good artist.

 Hannah is good about helping me in the afternoons. He task today, match up rhyming words for my kids to practice next week.

 This is how I plan. This is from now until Spring Break. This year is going by really fast!

 We read The Mitten and talked about winter clothes this week and practiced sequencing.

 Since they did so well making the snowmen we made Martin Luther King, Jr. They told me their dreams. It was too cute!

 Another great morning!

 All of my sweet babies stayed for Crocodile Club today. This is a reward our students get each nine weeks for having good behavior. The Nashville Ballet came to perform. My babies loved it.

I made these with my first graders last year and thought I would try with Pre-K. They did great. They had to listen and do what I was doing to make their snowmen. I think they turned out GREAT!

a day full of great

 Walking out to go to work this is what I see. I feel like it is God telling me to have a good day and reminding me that He is in control.

 Today was our first day going to the computer lab. I really have the best kids and they did so good. I am so thankful to be in Pre-K, it is truly my passion.

 Good telling me good night. He is so amazing!

 It was basketball night at Lighthouse tonight. Hunter and Connor were happy to cheer on the big kids and get to shoot the ball at halftime.

 He made it on his second try and dribbled back down to pass the ball to his friend.

He was pretty proud of himself! We were proud too!

I love this guy!

I love Derrick and that we have date night. The kids love having a sitter come. We rotate through three sitters and they are all great. It is my goal this year for us to have more date nights.

Snow Day with a little snow

We had a nice dusting of snow this morning when we woke up. The kids were sad that is was not enough to build a snowman. (I was too!) It was still pretty to look at and got us out of school.

 This nice, cool cucumber mask was just what I need to start my day.

 Hannah wanted to try it to. She did not enjoy it as much as I did.

We also had foot massages and makeovers. Hannah wanted her hair braided as well.

 She gave me fun designs on my eyes. Loved spending time with my sweet girl.

 Hunter was so tired tonight that he could not hold his eyes open. I sat and just watched him sleep in my lap for a little while. I love watching my kids sleep. I think it is so peaceful.

They wanted to all camp out in the living room one night before going back to school. I have to say, sleeping on the couch is not as much fun as I remember it being when I was younger. I was all worth it for the smiles on their faces!

Both kids love to draw, paint, color, create, etc. I am thankful they got that from their dad.

Happy New Year!

We spent the day driving back from SC. We had a great time visiting family and friends, but like always we never get to see everyone we want to. 2013 was a good year for us. I am excited about 2014 and all the memories we will make this year. I hope you all had a Happy New Year and that 2014 is the best year yet for you.
