more park pics

The only way to get a picture of all 4 of them is to put them all in swings they can't get out of.
Hunter is too worried about what Todd is doing to look at me for a picture.
I took a picture of her in this ladybug last year, but I must not have put it on the blog.

the park

Hannah and Hunter were excited to go to the park this morning. We were so glad that Ty, Todd and Mrs. Sharon came too. We had not been to the park all summer. I hope we get to go a few more times before school starts back, which is not long. I was looking back through the blog to see when we went to the park for the first time. Look how little Hannah and Ty were. I think Hannah would stay all day. After about a hour and twenty minutes Hunter had had enough and was ready to go to a cooler place and for a little nap. He did have a great time playing in the rocks, mulch, and climbing on many different things. I think he will love it more when he can walk.

Hannah's self portraits

Hannah loves to take pictures and today she took one picture of Hunter (posted below the one of him saying cheese) and 800 of herself. Enjoy her self portraits. They make me laugh every time I look at them .

Derrick is going to work on the video of her singing tomorrow. I think it will be well worth the wait.

a good day for Hunter

He is back to eating three meals a day and a few snacks.
He had lots of fun playing on the see-saw with Hannah.
Playing Play-Doh was way more fun sitting on the table instead of the chair.
"What, I did not put that in my mouth!! "
I guess I have told him say cheese enough that now he will do it when you get the camera out. He has been doing it all day, but as soon as I tried to get him to do it for Derrick he looked at me like I was crazy. He is a mess!!! I am so glad that he is better.

the Hannah show

I love this little girl so much!!! She is very good at pushing my buttons, but most days I could just eat her up. She is growing up way to fast. She came in dressed ready to dance and told me I could video her for the blog. I did and then she said, "Mom, remember you said one day you wanted to record me signing the Ariel song?" I told her I did remember telling her that. She said, "Well I am ready to sing it now." Enjoy the Hannah show that Hunter and I were able to watch tonight.

(The loud noise you hear in the dancing video is Hunter pulling the tray for his seat down. He did not get hurt, it just scared him. In the "Ariel song" video sorry you have to hear me sing a little. She is looking at a wasp that was in the house. I thought it was outside, but when she looks again at the end we both realize it is inside.)

we are getting better

Hannah took this picture of Buddy!! She said he looked happy.

Wow!!! We did not have the holiday weekend I had planned. I need to look back to see, but I think two years ago on/around the 4th Hannah was sick for several days. Hunter woke up Monday morning running a fever. It was 99.9 and he was really fussy. He had cried out a few times during the night, but never woke up. He just wanted to be held and kept laying his head down. That is not him at all. He does like to be held, but not as much as he did that morning. The nurse said to watch for other symptoms and see if anything changes. I did notice a rash around Hunter's mouth and in his diaper area. Around lunch time I took his temperature again and it was 100.5. I called back and told the nurse about the rash and the fever going up. She said to bring him in. I gave him Tylenol at 12:10 and when they checked his temp at the doctors office it was 102.2. He was pitiful!!!! The doctor said that he had a virus, that we had all given him. She said some people have a summer cold or a summer GI bug or blisters in their mouth. Poor Hunter got the blisters in his mouth. As soon as she looked in his mouth she said, Oh that is not good. I had a sinus and ear infection that I just finished medicine for on Friday, Hannah and Derrick got the stomach bug, so we had it all covered except for the blisters. I wish I could have had it for him. All day Monday and most of Tuesday Derrick and I took turns holding him and trying to keep him comfortable. I put him to bed at 8:30 last night and he slept until 9:30 this morning. I think all that rest was good for him. Derrick fed him some breakfast while Hannah and I went to story time. She did not want to miss it because she said she needed to see what movie Ms. Tori would show at the end and she needed to check out some new books. Hunter stayed up all morning and ate a little lunch. He did not fuss at all when I put him down for his nap. He slept from 1-5. When we woke up he was signing eat. I asked him if he wanted something to eat and he signed please. He ate cheese puffs, almost a whole jar of meat sticks, taco ring, tomatoes, and lots of watermelon. I ran to Target while the kids napped. I got Hunter two prizes, a new hat and his own water bottle. He loves Hannah's and was so happy to have is on. Hannah has been so sweet to him, like always, and prays each night that Buddy will be all better. We are very thankful that he is getting back to his old self. I hope that we are all over our sicknesses. Thanks for checking on us.

Aunt Lori gave Hannah this bee toy for her birthday a couple of years ago, I think, and it is still a hit. Hunter thinks it is great fun. He will pick the bee up and throw it the other way. He is also learning to move back from it so it will keep going. He is very good at problem solving.

Happy 4th of July

We spent almost the whole day at home. Papa and Nana left today and we had a lazy day to recover (from being sick and taking care of sick people, not from Papa and Nana being here). Derrick ended up getting sick about 3:30 this morning. He has rested most of the day, so I knew he was not feeling great. Hannah woke up fine and has been fine all day. She did take a long nap this afternoon. We did make a family trip to Wal-Mart for a few groceries and worms. Derrick is taking Hannah fishing in the morning and she is SOOOOOO excited. I hope he will take some pictures. Hunter and I are going to hang out here. I did not even dress Hannah in her cute 4th of July outfit. I will dress both kids in their festive clothes later this week and take their picture. We can just celebrate all week. We like to have birthday weeks around here. I hope that everyone had a happy and safe 4th.

not in the plans for the weekend

On the way home from the zoo Hannah said that her stomach was hurting. When we got home I asked her if she needed to go potty and she said no that her stomach just hurt. I put her down for a nap but put a trash can by her. She said she was ok. Derrick and left to go to the hospital to get Kyle's pillow and visit one of his friends. When we got back Hannah us up and seemed fine. I went outside to take a phone call and a few minutes later Derrick came out with a Wal-Mart bag. Hannah had gotten sick. Not good. I came in to check on her and she said she was ok. About 15 minutes later she got sick again. She has now throw up 5 times. She is just laying in the floor watching a movie and looks so pitiful. She is being trooper. She just wants a cool cloth for her head and for one of us to be close to her. We were going to have friends over to grill out tonight, but I called and told them we should probably wait. We were supposed to have a picnic at church tomorrow, but I think we will pass on that. If this is a stomach bug I do not want to share it with everyone at church. I am praying that she feels better soon and that no one else gets sick.

Red, White and Zoo

We spent the morning at the zoo with Papa, Nana and lots of friends. It was good to have so many friends to visit and have fun with. We enjoyed playing on the playground, seeing the animals, getting rained on a little, eating lunch, and playing on the bouncy things before leaving. It was a busy and fun morning. I gave Derrick the camera and he only took one picture. We are missing Crawford from the picture, he was not in the mood to have his picture taken at the time. I think Nana took more pictures. I will have to get some from her.

Hunter is 15 months old

He is growing too fast, but not too big according to the doctor. He had a great check up. Dr. B said he was just a little petite. He weight 21 lbs. 10.5 ounces, 25 percentile, he was 30.5 inches long, almost 50 percentile. I was concerned that he does not say many words and that he eats dirt. Dr. B just laughed and said he was fine and all boy. He did not have fluid in either of his ears, which made me very happy. He did have to get two shots. When he saw Nurse Heather came in with Popsicle he spit his paci out before I could catch it. That was paci #2 to hit the floor so we had no paci for the shots. NOT GOOD!!!! I had just told the girls at bible study last night that he does not cry when he gets shots he just grunts. Well today he screamed and cried for a a couple of minutes. Once he calmed down and started eating his Popsicle he was fine. I love the picture of him with his paci and blanket, he does not go long without them.

We left the doctor and went to see Uncle Kyle. He was feeling a little better and was awake today. Hannah and Hunter were glad to see him. Hunter had fun messing with his beard. We are praying he is up and moving good again soon.
