fun with a friend

 Hunter was sitting still for a minute so Whiskers got in his lap to rest.

 We were so glad to have Connor come stay with us while his mom had a meeting at school.

 He is not tall enough to push the peddle but he enjoyed sitting on the four wheeler.

 Hunter said it was messed up and he had to fix it. He is just like his dad.

All kids love playing in the sand. Thanks Connor for coming to play with us.

rotten

Whiskers is rotten. I have decided that having a kitten is a lot like having a baby. He always wants to be held, cries, eat often, etc. The up side is that he can use a litter box so there are no diapers to change.

Derrick has scraps of wood in the garage that he lets the kids draw on. Hannah made this picture today. She gets her art skills from her dad.

Happy Friday

 We have completed our first full week of school. We have read Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes everyday this week. Today my kids colored a show their favorite color. Look how good they colored. I am so proud of them.

 We were twins today and did not even notice until she came to my room after school.

 Hunter was hard at work measuring and making things this afternoon.

 We are so proud of Hannah for placing in three of her four events at the last swim meet. She was thrilled to get her ribbons.

Hunter picks Whiskers up and carries him around the minute we walk in the door. He loves this kitten!

homework

Hunter was excited to get to do his homework at church tonight. I hope he will always be this excited about doing homework.

growing too fast

 Second grade, our sweet little baby girl is in second grade. I am glad that she is with me each day. I can't believe that next year Hunter will be there with us as well.

I always try to take pictures of these sweet moments. I know they love each other but some days they are not kind to each other. I love to hear Hunter ask her to read him and story and then hear her say she would love to.

swim meet, friends, and date night

 Hannah was so excited to swim in all four events today. She was also excited that Mattison and Mrs. Donna came watch her swim. We left Dad and Buddy home with Mr. Matt, Sophia and Chance. We are happy to have the whole Hayes crew here to visit this weekend.

 Oh, Whiskers, why must you always have to sleep on me?

 Tonight we had date night. I am thankful that Caroline was willing to come and keep 5 kids for us. We had a great dinner and then went for ice cream before coming home.

 We came home to all 5 kids in the bed and asleep. It was a good night for us all.

Hunter is the main reason we are keeping HIM. I told him that we were going to give her away and he cried. He said, "We just cant give her away, she needs a home. I will help you take care of her I PROMISE!!!" How can we say no to that?!?!? Derrick took her to the vet and found out she is a he who is 6 weeks old. He is healthy and has to go back in three weeks for another shot.
