can $1 make a kid happy?

Yes, when it buys them a sword. I saw this for only $1 at the consignment sale tonight and thought about Hunter. He loves swords and only has one. Now he has two and will have twice the fun playing, right?

the Tooth Fairy! Hannah lost her 7th tooth today at school. She was so excited to get the tooth necklace to put it in.

melt my heart

We were trying on 3T clothes and he decided that he would try on overalls. He looks just like his Papa. I need to take a picture of them together in their overalls this fall/winter. Oh, his cuteness is too much for me some days.

a busy Saturday

After taking Hannah to choir dance team auditions we came home so I could pin tags on all of my items to drop off for the consignment sale. While I went to drop my items off Derrick took the kids to Target.
They came home with Legos. Hunter is just getting into them and he loves to build. He only needed a little help from Dad to get his legos together.
Hannah had her on little set and needed a little time with dad too.

After dinner Hunter asked if he could have a few gummies. When I looked at his plate he had poured them all out beside his edamame. Maybe he thought we would not notice, but we did. I love getting to spend Saturday's as a family, it makes my heart happy!

our silly, smart boy

 What.A.Mess!!!!
Whiskers has decided that he likes to go out on the porch and rest.
I am learning A LOT about fine motor skills this year. I was checking out how Hunter is doing and he is great. Look at that great grip he has.
He can write his first and last name, draw the four basic shapes and a straight line and plus. Check, he is good to go! I have not tested his letters and sounds yet, but I will soon, just to make sure he is good and ready for kindergarten.

I wish I had a recent picture of my mom and dad. (I will take one next time I see them.) Today is their 39th anniversary. Happy Anniversary! I love you both!

it is possible

This is the first time I have ever seen them this close and not fighting playing. It did not last long, but I am glad to know they can be sweet to each other. They remind me a little of Hannah and Hunter.

productive Sunday afternoon

We let her wear dangle earrings to church for the first time today. She is so grown up!
Thanks Mike and Nene for the Sonic cards! Lunch was yummy!
It's consignment time. I am excited that Hunter is actually outgrowing some things. The sweater on top still fits but he will not wear it. As soon as I told him we were cleaning out his closet for consignment he said, "Mom, please get rid of that itchy sweater and don't get me anymore itchy sweaters."
Whiskers enjoyed a nice nap in Hannah's room while she tried on her clothes.
I think she grows faster than Hunter!

he is a good problem solver

While I was making these for the Bussell Backyard Bash I looked out the window and saw this....
When I asked him what he was doing he said, "I just wanted to get an apple to eat."

fun

I love teaching Pre-K. Can you tell what we are learning about this week?
Hannah asked me to take her picture and send it to Mrs. Russell. She wanted her to see that she was wearing a shirt she gave her and polka dotted pants. I love that she loves her teachers so much.
