I love watching Derrick with the kids. He is the best Dad! He is so patient with them and takes the time to teach them new things, play with them and listen to them. I am glad to have him to do this parenting thing with. I did not take a picture of him and the kids today but we had a great day going to church and spending time as a family.
I am thankful for my dad, father in-laws and grandpa's. I have great men in my life who set good examples and love and support all of us.
Derrick always says that we should go to the Air Show and we seem to always miss it. Well not this year. He ordered tickets and we put it on the calendar. It was hot, but we had a great time. The kids did great for the most part. It was really cool to watch, but did make me nervous at times.
Hunter had a great time at Playcation this week. I am glad he was able to go and thankful for all the works who made the week so fun.
This afternoon when I went to take the trash out there were three mamas and 10-12 baby turkeys walking in the woods. Hunter had come outside with me so he ran back in to get my phone so I could take a picture. I would not get close enough to get a great picture. If you look close you can see three of the babies to the left of the mamas. We hope they will come back and visit soon and often.
Hunter came home from Playcation and made this. Can you tell what they learned today. He asked me to staple seven index cards together and he started making his book.
Hannah found our old laptop in the basement. She learned how to type during computer and wanted to practice her skills. She has written several stories. She likes to write about the things she does that are fun.
I hope they will both continue to draw/write and enjoy it for a long time.
