Hannah's end of year awards

Hannah had a great year. I am glad I was able to attend her awards program this morning. Thanks Shelly for helping Rachelle with my class. I work with the best people ever. Good job Hannah, we are so proud of you!

the floor

We decided to grout the floor tonight. I had flashbacks to our first house and no kids. I decided we are too old now to start a project like this at 9pm.

Hunter's Pre-K Graduation

I can't believe he is graduating from Pre-K. I feel like he just started going to Lighthouse.
 He is so cute!

Ms. Marie was his K2 teacher. We love her. She was just what we I needed to transition to "real school" from Sheri and Nana's.

Look close, he is in that large group of children.

I am thankful so many family and friends were able to come. Luke graduates from High School Saturday, which I can't believe is happening either.
Ms. Quita and Ms. Rachel were his teachers this year. He loves them both and learned so much.
These two birds were so happy to ride in the van they could not stand it. Oh the joy of the little things!
I just want to cry every time I see him in this cap and gown. He is so ready to be at Kelley with Hannah and I, but I am not ready for my baby to be this old. I am sad that our last season with a preschooler is ending. Ready or not a new season is upon us. I am excited to see what it brings.

I LOVE my job

Look at these sweet faces! We did our end of year program today and they did so good! I am going to miss them SOOOO much. They are the best group of kids.
They surprised me with a book about why they love me. It made me cry. One of my sweet babies brought me flowers today which also made me teary. I am ready for summer and time with my family but I really am going to miss these kids.

my view

I love being in the kitchen and looking out the window to see Derrick and the kids working/playing in the yard. Hannah was too quick and did not get in the picture. We are ready for summer time at the Hood house.

Ty and Todd's Party

Check out this cool lab for experiments to take place.
All of the kids were focused and amazed!
We moved to the outdoor lab for a few experiments that were a little more messy.
 Making a bouncy ball.
Mrs. Sharon even had fun science snacks.
The grade finale!

zoo field trip

Derrick and I were glad that we both got to go with Hunter on his last field trip of the year.

Hunter and Ethan kept us entertained.
I laughed so hard when I saw this sticker on his back. He had to ride the bus to the zoo and they all had these stickers on when they got off the bus. I have been on LOTS of field trips never put stickers like this on my kids.

such a sweet boy

He could not wait to give me this note he wrote me with the sucker.
He wrote me this note on a piece of wood he found in the garage.
He will not let you help him spell words, he can do it and does a pretty good job.
He was so excited to wear his shirt Coach Jim gave him to his last swim lesson.
 Ready to swim!

He did not cry all week and worked hard so he got a cherry milkshake to celebrate.

getting better

When you look this cool, you have to do a great job swimming!

He LOVES Coach Jim! He is the best swim instructor.
When we got home he said, "Mom take a picture of me and dad and email it to school. That is what the note on the door said." So I took a picture to email to school. I love these two!

one loved girl

Not only did Hannah have Derrick, MeMe and Hunter bring her lunch and eat with her, but she got to eat in her classroom at the teacher's table. She loved every minute of it.
