Driving Papa's Truck

We went to church with Papa today. While we were waiting on Uncle Kyle to call us about lunch, Hannah wanted to practice her driving.

Ready to go

Kyle and Katie gave me this dress last Christmas at my shower. It is hard to believe that she already fits in it. Derrick and I need to remember to take a camera with us. We have no pictures of her at Aunt Carol's or MeMa's. We only look the video camera, so we do have her first Christmas documented.

A day with Anut Katie

Katie had asked me if she could watch Hannah and take her to her mom's. I told her sure. Hannah had gone home with nana and papa to spend the night after leaving great papa's. Derrick and I took advantage of this. We spelt late, 8:30, and then went to finish some Christmas shopping. Boy are we last minute this year. Nana is good at taking pictures and from the looks of this one I am not sure who had more fun. Thanks aunt Katie for watching her.

Ritz cracker

Papa thought that Hannah needed a cracker. She seemed to like them.

stroller

Nana had this stroller at her house and Hannah thought it was the greatest thing.

Happy Baby

Hannah had just woke up and finished getting her diaper changed. She loves standing and looking out the window. Dad did a good job capturing how happy she is in this picture.

Justin & Lauren's Wedding

We went to SC for a long weekend to attend Justin and Lauren's wedding. Derrick was in the wedding. We ended up not taking Hannah because she was still not feeling well. I did not want her to catch anyting else. Hannah stayed with Papa while we went to the wedding. It was beautiful. We wish you the best, Justin and Lauren.

sick again

Well now we know why she was so loud and not happy during baby dedication yesterday. She has an ear infection. I am very disappointed. I thought once we got the tubes she would not have any more. When we went to the doctor today she said that she can still get ear infections but they should just drain out of her ear and not hurt her as bad. One day I am sure she will be well for more than a month. Her doctor told me ther first two winters are always the worst. That was not encouraging to me.

Baby Dedication

We had Hannah dedicated at church today. She was the loudest baby there. There were two other babies from our Sunday School class dedicated as well, along with many others that we did not know. Meme and Pop-pop where here to go with us. Aunt Deborah presented the gift from the church to her.

Papa spoiling Hannah

Papa and I went Christmas shopping this morning. I know, I could not believe that my Dad wanted to go shopping either. He bought this for Hannah for Christmas. As you can tell, he could not wait to give it to her. She is going to be rotten.

Thanksgiving at Great Papa's

We went to SC for Thanksgivng. On Thursday we had lunch at Great Papa's house. Hannah enjoyed eating a little bread. She is not ready for table food yet. It was good to see everyone. I had Hannah dressed in a cute Thanksgiving outfit, but by the time we were ready to take a picture she had gotten it dirty. Oh well. We alson enjoyed eatingat Meme's and Cece's. I am not sure why we did not take pictures at those gatherings.

four wheeling

Derrick and I went to Knoxville this weekend to meet Travis, Robin, Nick and Jessica. Nana and papa came to keep Hannah while we were gone. The four wheeling was fun but a little rough. From the look of the pictures Hannah did not even miss us. Thanks nana and papa for coming to keep her for us.

Papa's hat

Hannah likes to take Papa's hat off his head. Papa let her wear it and we got a picture before she took it off.

Happy Thanksgiving

I am glad we have an outfit for every holiday.

milk in a cup

We are now trying to get Hannah use to drinking milk from a cup. She likes chewing on the cup more than drinking from it. I am sure she will learn to like milk from something other than her bottle.

Who is that looking at me?

first tooth

Hannah cut her bottom left tooth today.

Tubes

We had to be at the hospital at 6 am this morning. The harderst thing about be there that early was that we could not feed Hannah her breakfast. She is use to getting up and eating. She was in a good mood. When I got her in her little hospital gown I realized we did not bring the camera. She did not cry when the nurse took her from us. She was only gone maybe 20 or 30 minutes. She was not happy when the nurse brought her back to us. Once we got our instructions about medicine and what to expect we were on our way home. When we got home there was a big Nemo balloon on the deck. Thanks aunt Deborah, uncle Bert, Luke and Jacqulin. She enjoyed looking at it while she ate her breakfast.

big bathtub

Hannah enjoys splashing too much for us to keep giving her bathes on the kitchen counter. It will not be long before she will be too big for the baby bathtub.

too many outfits

While Derrick was taking pictures of her in her costume, we decided to do a full photo shoot. She has so many cute outfits that she runs out of time to wear them. That is a good problem to have.

Happy Halloween

She thought her daddy was so funny when he was taking her picuture. She is so cute!

dinner gone bad

This is what happens when she tries to hold the spoon. Not sure we are ready to let her feed herself.

ENT

Since Hannah's ear have not been clear for really any amount of time since Sept. 9 her doctor decided it was nice to go to the Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. We went to see Dr. Mowery today. He was very nice and said she would probably benefit for the tubes. He wants her to finish her medicine and then he will put her tubes in on Nov. 6. I hope it will help.

Happy Birthday Grandma Nene

We took a quick road trip to SC this weekend. Aunt Lori had a surprise party for Nene. We could not miss her 50th birthday. It was a quick trip but good to see everyone. I think seeing Hannah was a good gift for grandma nene since I left her present at my mom's house. That was a good excuse to have to meet them for breakfast the next morning.

sippy cup with juice

The doctor said we could start giving Hannah juice. She said to try it in a sippy cup. I think it will take a little practice to get the hang of this.

first ear infection

I had to take Hannah to the emergency room last night. She woke up from her nap and took her bottle fine. After she finished it she just cried and cried. After a hour of crying I called the doctor. She told me to give her tylenol and call her back if she was still crying in 30 minutes. After 30 minutes she was still crying. I called back and she told me to take her to the emergency room. I was very upset. Derrick was of course out of town. We go to the emergency room at about 5pm. They were very nice and could still I was very upset. As soon as the doctor looked in her ear she said, 'That is a yucky ear." She gave us an antibiotic and sent us home. I went to get it filled and we made it home by 9pm. We made it six moths with no ear infections. We will hope this is the only one she will have.

Sitting up

Hannah is 6 months old today. Derrick took her to get her picture made at the Picture People. The photographer asked him if she could sit up. He told her that she could if you held her. She told him just to try. He sat her down and she stayed sitting up all by herself. When I came home from work he told me to watch what she had learned today. He sat her on the kitchen floor and she stayed sitting again. What an exciting day. He only bought one picture, but it is really cute.

6 month check up

Hannah had her six month check up today. She weighs 14 lbs 5 oz and is 25.5 inches long. She is growing and growing. I can't even remember what life was like without her. The only thing I think is really differnt is what time I get up on Saturday mornings. She is a good sleeper, so I really can't complain.

back to school

The summer has flown by. I think it is going to be harder to leave her now, after being home all summer, than it was in May. When I went back to work in May I knew it was only for four weeks. When I go back to work tomorrow it will be a long time before I have time off again. The weekends are not long enough. I know that she will enjoy going back to daycare and seeing her friends.

too sweet

Derrick took the sweet pictures of Hannah napping and then caught her happy little face when she woke up. She loves to nap in mama and daddy's bed.

bathtime

We are in a good bedtime routine now. She is very happy to get a bath and then play for dad before going to bed.

VBS

I signed up to help at bible school. Since I was helping Hannah got to go too. I ended up teaching 4 year olds. They were a good group of kids. Hannah was the only baby in the nursery. I was glad that she had two peoples undivided attention. Hopefully next year will be a little more exciting for her.

More food

We have now added squash, pears, green beans, applesauce, and sweet potatoes to the list of food she will eat. She still enjoys her bottle along with her food.

second trip to SC

Since Hannah did so well on her first trip to SC we decided to go again. It was good to have more time to visit with family and friends. We did not take her to see the fireworks, because we figured she would either sleep through it or it would scare her.

Laughing

Hannah laughed out loud for the first time today. That is the most precious sound ever. I want to record it to have forever. She is such a good and happy baby.

Saturday, July 1, 2006

new toys

Nana went shopping so Hannah would have some toys at her house. I think Hannah likes the frog mat the best. Thanks Nana.

Friday, June 30, 2006

what will we eat?

She has eaten everything we have offered her. That would be rice cereal, bananas, carrots, prunes, and peaches. She loves to eat and gets very excited when she sees you getting food out.

Wednesday, June 28, 2006

happy, happy, happy

She is really this happy 99.9% of the time.

Saturday, June 24, 2006

exersauser

Since Hannah can hold her head up we thought she might like a new view. She is still so little that I had to put a blanket around her so she did not fall. I think she likes the new view.

shots

Derrick went with us to the doctor for Hannah's 4 month check up. He choose to take a picture of her getting her shots. Poor baby.

4 month check up

Hannah now weighs 11lbs 10 oz and is 23 inches long. She is finally starting to look bigger. The docotor was pleased with her growth and development. She said we could start giving her rice cereal, fruits, and veggies. We will start those tomorrow. We have been doing spoon training for the past week or so. She does not push the spoon out of her mouth, so we will see what she does with food on it.

Kyle & Ashley's wedding

We took Hannah to Kyle and Ashley's wedding this weekend. We had friends and family in town to go with us. It was nice to visit with everyone. Mattison came to visit baby Hannah. She would sign her songs if you asked her too. It was too sweet. I can't imagine Hannah being her size, but I know she will be before we know it.
