I got to spend the whole day with my sweet girl today. We had to go to Vanderbilt for testing for year 2 of a study she is in. The best part is that we get to have lunch and just hang out with no distractions. She test for a little while then comes and hangs out with me for a break and then repeats that. We do get to have a long lunch break.
All those test made her tired. I love that Whiskers only likes to sleep all snuggled up to her. So sweet!

Oh, Whiskers!

I had not planned to spend my Friday night at the emergency vet, but we did. Earlier today when I let Whiskers in the house he tripped in the door. I did not think much about it because once he was inside he walked fine and seemed ok. A little later in the afternoon Hannah said, "Mom, I don't think Whiskers can walk!" Well that is not good. He did walk to me but acted dizzy. I called the vet and they said he needed to be seen, but they were closing in five minutes so I would need to take him to an emergency vet. They told me where the closet one once and off we went. I had tried to call Derrick, not that he is a cat expert, but he did not answer his phone. We waited about a hour in the waiting room before they took us to a room. (Derrick is still not answering his phone.) We waited some more when we got in the room. Hannah and Hunter made up a game to play with the pictures in the room. At least they were entertaining themselves. After a few hours of Derrick not answering this phone I decided to call them people he was working for. His phone was on silent and he quickly called me. I asked him to come get the kids because they were hungry and had played all the games they could in our nice little room. The vet finally came and got Whiskers, asked me a million questions and did a few test. He seemed fine to them and they assured me he was not in pain so I brought him home. They said to watch him over night and if he got worse to bring him back. By the time I got home when him he just wanted to eat and seemed fine. Hopefully he will be good to go in the morning.
He hates the carrier and riding in the car, so he was not going to look at me for a picture.

He has a perfectly good bed to sleep in but most of the time chooses to sleep in the floor, on the couch, or in the chair in our bedroom. Silly boy!

library and BKC

They wanted to play a little before we went in to check out books. I thought there was story time today, but it is tomorrow. They still had fun playing outside and inside the library and checking out books.

He needed a cup and did not want to ask for him. At least he is resourceful.
Tonight was our first night of BKC at Mrs. Sharon's house.
Mrs. Sharon makes the coolest snacks!

We saw a magic show at the City Museum and Hunter loved it. They decided to do their own show. Enjoy!

St. Louis Day 4

Hunter said, "Mom I need your phone to take a picture." He loves Build a Bear and spotted this one as soon as we entered the zoo.
Hunter loves maps and was a great tour guide.
The gorilla was giving us a show. We left when he threw the bucket against the glass.

 I love this smile!

I have loved spending these last few days as a family. We should do this more often.

Hannah was so happy the zoo had hippos. She loves hippos!

St. Louis Day 3

We spent the whole day at the City Museum! It was a really neat place. I have to admit it made me a little nervous at times. Hunter is fearless and I am not. I did enjoy seeing the kids play and have so much fun. The skate room was their favorite. Next time we will make sure to wear "gym" clothes and maybe pack some knee pads.
I love that he wore himself out!
