sweet note

Hunter was sitting outside writing and left this on the table. He is so sweet. In case you can't read it, it says:
I love my mom because I help her when she is sick. She loves me and I love her. She tickles by back. I love her.
He makes me smile and melts my heart. I love him!

Beautiful day to be outside

Hannah had practice this morning at it was so nice outside.

 Hunter was excited to have somewhere to ride his scooter and to play on the playground.

 They were so excited to run to the fence and back.

Parenting is hard

We have had a rough week. Both kids have had a hard time listening, following directions and making good choices. We have had spanking, time outs, things taken away, hugs, tears, discussions and the truth is, it is just hard some days. As hard as it is, moments like this make it all worth it. They have played nicely together since we got home from school. Right before dinner they came and said they had a surprise for me. They make this cake, ice cream cone, ice cream sundae and strawberries for me. They were so proud. My heart melted and I was reminded it is all worth it. We are ready for have a week off and get to hang out and play and just enjoy each other.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

 Since we all had our green on we took a quick picture before we left for school/work. We all look so sleepy.

 This sweet girl makes my day! She said, "Hood take a picture with me in my beautiful shamrock crown." How can you say no to that sweet face.

 They love having their picture made. At least they are both looking and have a smile on their face.

 Hunter could not wait to get to practice tonight. He was looking for his team. So serious!

He had just yelled to me, "Look mom I am baseball ready!" His practices are entertaining as well.

first night of practice

 We bought Hunter baseball pants, but they were too tight. They were an XXS with good, strong elastic. We will return them and try XS. He was happy to wear shorts, tall socks and flip flops that Cooper gave him.

 We had to divide and conquer tonight. Derrik went with Hunter and I went with Hannah. Derrick is not a big fan of taking candid shots of the kids, but he did take this picture of Hunter listening to the coach at the end of practice.

 Hannah was excited that one of the girls she met at assessments is on her team. They were partners all night. Fast friends!

Watching practice is very entertaining. Her coaches are so nice and patient. They are every encouraging as well. This will be a fun new adventure for us all.

 We were all so happy to be outside for a little while this afternoon.

Hannah had asked Derrick to make her a desk for her room. He finished it today!
