It did not take her long to fall asleep once we got in the car. She had to take a picture of the "big" Christmas trees at each park. They were very pretty. Hannah and Thumper. (We were excited there was no line.) Of course she is doing something crazy with her mouth.
Hannah was excited to be up and headed to Animal Kingdom. I wish you all could she the smile on her face and how her whole little body is full of excitement. We went today with Aunt Lori, Aunt Kim and some of their family (sorry I can't remember everyone's name). We stayed with them for a little while, but Hannah had to look at every animal as we were walking in and they did not want to look as long. We went to the Bug's Life show first. It was really neat. Hannah looked cute in her 3D glasses. We then went to Dinosaur Land and road the one ride she was tall enough for. When we were in the Nemo show, which was also really neat, Hannah realized Aunt Lori was not with us anymore. She kept asking where she was. I finally called her so I could tell Hannah where she was and that she was ok. After lunch we got in line for the Safari. We had to wait in line for one hour, which was not bad since it said the wait time for 100 minutes. I thought it was well worth the wait. Hannah loved it. The only thing we did not get to do that we wanted to was see the Lion King show. That gives us a good reason to go back. Before leaving the park Hannah did get a Micky Mouse ice cream, her picture made with Thumper, and some light up Micky Mouse ears.
Today we slept in and rested most of the day. Hannah did go check out the playground and ride in the swan paddle boats. She thought it was great. When the kids got up from their afternoon naps we went to the mall and Downtown Disney. Once we got to Downtown Disney we realized we should have gone much earlier. We only ate and went in the Disney store. We let Hannah pick out a prize, got both kids a shirt, and an ornament to put on our tree. Hannah liked getting her picture made with Cinderella and Aurora, not the real ones. When we got back to the condo we the kids got to take a bath in the "big" bathtub. Hannah would love to have one of these at our house. Hunter that is was great fun as well. Tomorrow is Animal Kingdom.
The fireworks!! They were great and Tinker Bell flew right over us. The kitchen table in Minnie's house. Getting a little pixy dust in the Fairy store. Riding the roller coaster with Dad. She loved it. She was so excited to ride in the purple magic carpet, because purple is her favorite color.
I wish we would have taken a picture of Hannah's face when we first walked in and she saw the castle. I have it forever in my mind. She loved it and was instantly even more exited to be at Cinderella's house. The first ride we rode was Peter Pan and she loved it. We rode everything in the park that she was tall enough to ride. We only waited in line to see Ariel, because she is Hannah's favorite. She said her favorite ride was Dumbo and the Goofy roller coaster. She also said she liked the purple fireworks and seeing Tinker Bell fly over us. She was so good all day and we all had a WONDERFUL time. I can't wait to take her back again. We took lots of pictures and these were just a few of the favorites. I will post some more of our day at Magic Kingdom.
We are in Florida, still not at Cinderella's house, but very close to it. We found the condo and got all of our things unpacked. We have friends who live in Florida so we went to visit them. They are about to adopt two little girls and they were working on moving rooms and painting. Derrick helped Nick paint a little and then we visited for a while. Two of their children were gone with friends, but Hannah was able to play with their youngest and Hunter loved watching them. We stayed and ate dinner with them before heading back to the condo to go to bed. We have a full day at Magic Kingdom planned for tomorrow. Thanks Nick and Jess for having us over.
We left for Florida at 1:30pm today. Derrick had hoped to drive the whole way in one day and I wanted to stop to break it up. We drove until 12am and only made it to Valdosta, GA. The kids did great. When we stopped we had to wake them up. When we walked in the hotel room Hannah said, "This does not look like Cinderella's house." We told her it was not that we just had to stop to sleep and tomorrow we would finish driving to her house. She was good with that and went right to bed. I think we still have 3-4 hours to drive tomorrow.
Santa came to visit us last night. He must have thought Hannah was really good this year. He brought her the purple touch screen, which is the only thing she asked for, a princess movie, clothes and a trip to Disney. He knew Hunter had been good and brought him some fun things too. I had to admit that Hannah as not as excited about him bringing her a trip to Disney has I had thought she would be. I am hoping she will be a little more excited when we really get there.
After we finished checking out all of the fun things Santa brought we did our family Christmas (and my birthday). Hannah seems to enjoy Christmas more each year. I am glad she is old enough now to start understanding what Christmas is all about. Hunter just loved having paper to play with. I did not take a picture of them, but Hannah was so excited to give Derrick and I the presents she had wrapped at school. She told us to open them first. They were ornaments she had made. I love things she makes at school for us. They will go on our tree every year now.
I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that I am 30 today. I do not want to be 30. I loved my twenties and want to still be 20 something. Despite the fact that I did not want to turn 30 I had a great birthday. Hannah came running in my room this morning and said mom let me tell you a secret. She whispered in my ear, "Mom today is your birthday." She had the biggest smile on her face. What a great way to start the day. My principal made me a chocolate pie, which she does for everyone for their birthdays. She is the best. My students thought it was neat that me and Mrs. McKendree have the same birthday. After school I picked up the kids and spent some time with them. I ended the day by going to dinner with the Bible study girls. I was given the 30 pin to wear while we ate. Allison wore it first when we went to the Beth Moore conference in Oct. They surprised me with a cake and sang to me. I love those girls!!! I need to embrace being 30 and as long as I have a positive attitude I know my 30 can be better than my 20's.
Hunter slept good last night. I called the doctor this morning and she said she did not need to see him. She said if I had any concerns to call back and they would see him. He still slept a good bit today but was much more active and more like himself. He did not want his bottles but loved eating Ritz.
