random things

Yesterday they called from her school to tell us that she ran in front the swing and got kicked in the mouth. They said she busted her lip, but were worried she had chipped her tooth. Her front tooth is chipped but not from being kicked in the mouth, we think she chipped it when she was doing gymnastics, without us. I asked her if her mouth was hurt when I picked her up and she said, "No is it all better, Ty came to play with me and we are friends." I guess it did not hurt too bad. She does have a little bruise on her cheek this morning that we are guessing came from the kick.

Last night I was giving Hannah a bath, for the first time in probably 2 months. After bathing and changing Hunter it is surprising how big Hannah is now. She is no easier to bathe than he is because she is too busy to be still. She was laying on her belly and pushing herself to slide so she could make waves like the beach. The funny thing is that she would not play in the water at the beach last year. Maybe since she has watched the Little Mermaid so much now she would really play in the ocean. She would stay in the tub forever if we would let her.

Today we were getting ready to eat lunch. Derrick asked her what she wanted and she said, "Papa is cooking me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich." We cracked up at her and asked her how you cook a sandwich. She said, "You know." and went running out of the room.

Hannah is in her bed for a nap and not happy about it. Derrick is cutting baseboard to put in Hunter's closet so he is in and out the back door. Hannah yelled, "Dad and Papa you are keeping me awake." She likes to tell us that at night if we put her to bed and Hunter cries. She is sound asleep now and Derrick is still coming in and out, which she is sleeping through fine. Hunter is beside me on the couch and does not have a clue anything is going on around him. It must be nice to sleep that sound.
